Chidinma Ahukanna counsels her clients on a wide range of family law matters, with a focus on divorce cases, pre- and post-nuptial agreements and complex financial analysis.
Chidinma gained experience as an intern at the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services and Legal Aid Society of Metropolitan Family Services, where served as a legal representative in family law and probate cases involving divorce, guardianship and parentage matters. Chidinma also served as a judicial law clerk in the Domestic Relations Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County.
At DePaul University College of Law, Chidinma received the Dean’s Achievement Scholarship and she was an executive board member of the Child and Family Law Association.
A former volunteer for the Domestic Violence Legal Clinic in Chicago, Chidinma helped the organization conduct interviews and assist litigants in filing emergency orders of protection. She also clerked for Life Span, an organization that strives to end domestic and sexual violence, where she worked on domestic violence and immigration cases.
Chidinma joined DWK as a law clerk in 2018 and became an associate attorney with the firm upon her graduation in 2019.
