Jamie Ryan

Summary

Having practiced exclusively in the area of family law for more than twenty years, Jamie Ryan has extensive experience in both successfully litigating cases to conclusion, as well as fiercely negotiating meaningful settlements. Each divorce brings its own unique set of facts, emotions, and client goals, and Jamie approaches and tailors her client’s experience accordingly.

Also serving as a Guardian ad Litem in DuPage County where she is tasked with investigating the best interests of the children, Jamie has gained immeasurable experience in all matters relating to children’s issues. Jamie has advocated for clients relating to all domestic relations matters, including but not limited to child support; maintenance; complex financial matters; allocation of parenting time and responsibilities (formerly custody); paternity; pre-nuptial agreements; and post-nuptial agreements.

Jamie has achieved success in the appellate process involving domestic relations cases for the First, Second, and Third District Appellate Courts of Illinois, and has had the honor of participating in oral argument before the Third District Appellate Court.

Jamie is a Fellow of the Illinois American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a distinction that is reserved for a small fraction of all Illinois attorneys; and is earned by submitting to a national examination and demonstrating outstanding knowledge, service, advocacy, and ethics in the area of family law.
